Group - Urban Hunt


Available classes are geared towards one of the most popular introductory Rat Scent Sports: Searching for rats in wooden boxes in an urban man-made environments.
This type scent sport is one of the most beginner friendly scent sports. A few major components of this sport are:
1) The rats hiding location is known to lower level handlers. The Judge will indicate to you when your dog has found the rat.
2) Dogs may be on a long leash up to 30ft long, or off leash.
3) Treats may be brought into competitions, and dogs may be reward at the odor source.
This competition sport also incorperates other scenting opportunities such as:
1) Trailing and Tracking rat scent.
2) Finding and retrieving shed deer antlers .
3) Lost item searches (handlers lost items, and a strangers lost items).
This type of scenting class provides mental stimulation in addition to biological fulfillment in your canine companion, while also preparing you and your dog for a sucessful future in a competiton.

This option is available at your home or at a location of your choice. Minimum of 4 dogs, maximum of 8 dogs.
